Skills/Experience

Jochem Meijknecht joined the Clingendael International Energy Programme (CIEP) in August 2009. He holds a Master degree in International Relations, writing his Master thesis on Polish and Hungarian gas policy towards Russia. Prior to joining CIEP he was an intern at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., GasTerra B.V. and at N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie. During these internships he respectively worked on research projects concerning Central Asian energy export outlets, Gazprom's presence in the EU-27 and energy policy towards Russia. In the role of researcher at CIEP he will continue to focus on political and economic dynamics of worldwide energy relations.
