Unit leader Mineral Economics at BGR since 2009, BGR staff since 2005. Peter was advisor to the Mineral Resources and Geoscience Division at the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in 2007. His doctorate in Economic Geology in 1994 was followed by an Assistant Professorship at Freiberg University of Mining and Technology between 1994 and 1998. He directed the MSc Programme in Exploration Geology at the University of Zimbabwe between 1998 and 2002 and later started a mineral trading company. His expertise covers ore deposit research, metal and non-metal exploration, mineral trading and global mineral economics.
