Alban Kitous

Skills/Experience

Alban has 10 years of experience in energy market analysis and energy modeling : demand, supply, international energy markets and prices, GHG emissions, carbon markets.

He has worked first within the research team at the “Energy Policies and Economics Institute” of the Grenoble University (France), and has since been working developing a department specialized on energy markets analysis, forecasting and modeling at Enerdata.

He has worked on and headed several consulting services and research projects based on modelling, forecasting and scenario building for national and international institutions as well as large companies.

Such projects include :

  • GHG mitigation strategies in ADAM project (EC, 2006-2009); the World Energy Technology Outlook – 2050 (WETO-H2, EC, 2007);
  • Gas, oil and coal markets forecasts for various oil and gas companies (2001-2009); Scenarios for electricity demand & supply in Europe for several power utilities (2004-2009);
  • Emission Trading System studies for power utilities (2006-2009), the EC (2002), the Danish Energy Agency (2009), the French government (2008-2010) and the UK government (2007-2010).

Alban graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris and the Imperial College in London (MSc Environmental Technology).

Role in the Project

Alban leads the work of Enerdata in POLINARES, and most especially the work in WP2 : modeling of the future demand future strategic material in the POLES model and development of scenarios on energy supply and demand.

Alban also represents Enerdata in the other WPs.
